Nashville Hot Dogs with Ranch Slaw

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup mayo

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 2 teaspoons Ranch Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 3 cups chopped green cabbage

  • 8 hot dogs

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 4 tablespoons oil

  • 3 tablespoons Nashville Hot Seasoning

  • 8 hot dog buns, toasted if desired

  • 8 pickle wedges

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together mayo, Dijon, lemon juice, Ranch Seasoning, and sugar. Add cabbage and toss to coat in dressing. Refrigerate until serving.

  2. Slice a cross hatch pattern in each hot dog.

  3. Heat butter and oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat until butter is melted. Stir in Nashville Hot Seasoning. Add hot dogs and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until browned and crisp. Keep an eye on the heat to keep spices from burning.

  4. Serve hots in buns with prepared slaw and a pickle wedge. Brush hot dogs with additional spicy oil from the skillet if desired.
